Ricardo Hoseguera, born in Mexico City and an architect by profession, has dedicated his life to art. Since a very early age, Ricardo has immersed himself in a range of artistic pursuits. Whether painting with oils or acrylics or examining life through writing and music, all have been illuminating and therapeutic to him.
Ricardo’s studies in architecture, a natural outgrowth of his multidisciplinary interests, opened another avenue for artistic expression: Photography. Fusing an interest in the “built environment” with light, photography and film emerged as his new passions . . . a new lense through which Ricardo could express his art.
In 2003, Ricardo put into practice his love of photography and film, working with a range of directors who have helped to shape his development. Alfonso Arau, Tony Scott, Mel Gibson, John Malkovich, Felipe Cazals, and Luis Mandoki to name a few.
To deepen his experience, marrying both the artistic and the entrepreneurial, Ricardo moved in 2009 to New York City to study directing, script writing and acting. This is where he founded his production company and became his platform to write his stories.
Currently, he is living in Los Angeles CA working on his new series "Transition" along with working on his new exhibition at AIA (The American Institute of Architects) based on his series "Dream California 24" and the launch of his new brand "By Richo".
Ricardo’s mixture of talents has attracted the interest of a range of clients. From Jumex Collection and many other private art collectors around the world. He also has been involved with the display design for Hèrmes featuring his photographic work.
This distinctive mix of expression of architecture, painting, photography, to film and writing has made Ricardo a distinctive and complete artist. Even more important, this gift of expression through multiple media has made him “the happiest man on earth".
"The inspiration always comes and when it does, you HAVE to go crazy"…. Ricardo.
